United Way Surpasses 2011 Goal

Thank You Berks County!

In another remarkable showing of generosity, Berks Countians demonstrated their LIVE UNITED spirit by raising $9,008,811 for the 2011 United Way campaign.

"We are so fortunate to live in a community where people and organizations band together to make sure that our county remains strong," said Mike Duff, who co-chaired this year's campaign with his wife, Diane.  "We're extremely grateful to everyone who came together to help us achieve our goal."

"Our community's needs and challenges underscore the importance of the United Way campaign," said Tammy White, United Way president, "Our success results from the hard work of so many - our tremendous leadership, our volunteers, and the businesses, organizations and individuals who make our efforts possible."

In addition to thanking everyone involved for helping to surpass the goal of $8.95 million, United Way also announced the winners of the 2011 incentives at the recent Victory Celebration:
