The Tocqueville Society is a leadership giving and recognition program that fosters, promotes and recognizes the vital importance of community commitment and personal giving at an exceptional level. Members of the Tocqueville Society generously contribute $10,000 or more on an annual basis.

United Way of Berks County’s 150 individuals/couples contributed almost $3.5 million during the 2022 annual campaign. We are privileged to be the highest-ranking Tocqueville Society in membership nationwide when compared to like-sized communities. Additionally, we are pleased that 82% of our Tocqueville members are Loyal Contributors who have been giving to the United Way for ten or more consecutive years.
