Community Impact Director

Are you a strategic leader passionate about driving meaningful change? United Way of Berks County is seeking a Community Impact Director to lead our community investment strategies and ensure resources are directed toward programs that make a measurable difference.

In this dynamic role, you will oversee our annual fund distribution process, collaborate with partners across different sectors, and shape data-informed strategies to address the most pressing needs in our community. From managing grantmaking and outcome measurement frameworks to fostering partnerships, your work will be central to improving lives across Berks County.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the community investment and fund distribution process aligned with United Way’s mission and values
  • Work closely with volunteers to implement an annual evaluation process for distributing funds
  • Oversee the use and administration of grant management software for community investment applications, development of reports, and dashboards
  • Conduct research and analyze community data to inform funding decisions and new initiatives for emerging needs
  • Build and maintain authentic relationships with nonprofits, schools, businesses, and civic leaders
  • Facilitate and participate in collaborative groups and community-wide efforts

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in nonprofit leadership or human service
  • Proven experience with community partnerships, data analysis, and grantmaking
  • A collaborative leader with integrity, vision, and strong communication skills
  • Passion for community voice and creating lasting impact.
